Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
Le Cocon is a private digital social network designed specifically to support, empower, and provide a secure environment for women in Morocco. Membership eligibility is restricted to individuals who successfully pass our identity and gender verification process.
By checking the acceptance box during signup and creating an account, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the application.
2. Strict Age Requirement (18+)
You must be at least 18 years of age to register an account and use Le Cocon. By creating an account and providing your birth date during signup, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old. Accounts belonging to users found to be under 18 will be permanently terminated.
3. User-Generated Content (UGC) & Zero Tolerance Policy
Le Cocon strictly prohibits the publication of abusive, harassing, explicit, or offensive content across all user-generated fields, including profile text, voice and audio chats, and map event descriptions.
Content Filtering: We employ automated server-side text filters on messages, circles and event listings to prevent the use of profanity and inappropriate language.
Zero Tolerance: Any user found generating objectionable content or engaging in abusive behavior will face immediate and permanent account suspension.
4. Safety, Reporting, and Blocking
To maintain a secure environment, Le Cocon enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy against harassment, hate speech, or explicit content. We provide built-in community moderation tools:
Reporting: Users can instantly block abusive accounts or report objectionable content directly within chats, profiles, and event descriptions using the "Report" button.
Blocking: Users may block others directly from their profiles. Blocked users are automatically excluded from your swipe feed and cannot contact you. You can manage your blocked users within App Settings.
Admin Moderation: Reported content and accounts are reviewed by our team on a priority basis, and action is taken where we determine it is warranted. Violators face account termination.
5. Event Hosting & Limitation of Liability
Platform Disclaimer: Le Cocon is merely a digital platform for private social connections and is not an official organizer, sponsor, or host of any public events or gatherings listed or discussed within the application. All events are organized independently by individual users.
Host Control & Guest Management: Event creators and hosts have full visibility and access to review attendee lists before a gathering takes place. Hosts maintain the sole discretion and right to accept, screen, or remove any participant prior to an event if they are not satisfied.
Platform Role: Le Cocon acts solely as a technical tool to facilitate digital discovery and connections. We are not responsible or liable for user interactions, event safety, or the conduct of any user online or offline. Because hosts manage their own attendees, Le Cocon assumes no liability for offline meetups, disputes, or events. Participation in any gathering is entirely at your own risk.
Offline Release: Le Cocon does not perform criminal background checks or conduct physical screening of users. You acknowledge that Le Cocon has no control over user conduct offline. You explicitly release Le Cocon, its founder, and its affiliates from any claims, demands, or damages arising out of or in any way connected to offline meetups, user disputes, or real-world events organized through the application.
6. License to User Content
By uploading, posting, or transmitting profile photos, text, voice messages, or event descriptions through Le Cocon, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable license to store, display, reproduce, and distribute such content solely for the purpose of operating, developing, and providing the application and its features.
Community Content: When you delete your account, chat conversations you were in will continue to exist, but your name will be removed and the messages you sent will be deleted. Events you hosted and communities you created are removed entirely. Private personal profile data will always be completely erased in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
7. Commercial Boundaries & Account Deletion
Commercial Use: Unauthorized commercial solicitation or independent sales by individual users within chats or community event groups is strictly prohibited.
Free Events Only: Le Cocon is strictly a platform for social discovery. Hosting, creating, or listing events on Le Cocon is completely free. Hosts are strictly prohibited from collecting ticket fees, admission charges, or monetary payments through or in connection with Le Cocon event listings.
Account Termination: You may permanently delete your account, profile, authentication records, and all associated data at any time using the dedicated "Delete Account" button in App Settings, or via our web deletion page.
8. Partner Businesses
Separate Agreements: Local businesses apply for and operate a Partner Space under separate business terms, and are not bound by the member eligibility rules in section 2 once approved.
No Data Sharing: We do not share your personal data with partners. The only information a partner receives is aggregated, non-identifiable metrics such as the number of views on their listing. Where a partner is also a community member, they see only what any other member sees.
Partner As Community Member: Holding a Partner Space does not grant access to community features. Like any member, a partner must complete the same identity verification before joining community spaces.
9. Modifications and Governing Law
Changes to Terms: We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time and will notify users of major updates through the app.
Governing Law: These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Morocco, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Morocco.
